3.16 The Kat-stopped-being-lazy Edition

Last month, I received a RAK from Esty.  It was a pattern by Leonid Afremov, The Loneliness of Autumn (Or Autumn, as I have shortened it for my stitching rotation)

I finally got around to posting pictures, since I know Sarah hasn't seen any of it.  So here we go, a months (on and off, I've been busy) worth of progress on Autumn....

Since page seven was almost done, I branched out to page eight.  Hey, in my defense, it had a lamp-post!

3.15 The (late) Queen update

So yes, yes, I promised ages ago (as in weeks) to Sarah that I'd post updates of Queen once it was put away again after what I affectionately call 'the month of hell'.

Turns out I don't like being forced to count stitches.

Anyways, updates as promised, since it's now all safely packed away and I'm onto the new pattern (which is itself an entire blog post, tying into Es's one, but still...)

3.14 LEONID AFREMOV!!!

OKAY OKAY! So it's been awhile, but Bev signed with Leonid Afremov! And he gave her 3 pictures to chart. These are so gorgeous!! Kat and I have loved his art for awhile now... and WE thought it would be great to stitch!! (We can't agree on who found his art first >__>) Anyways, these will be available on Love Thy Thread on the 20th, but since Bev loves me *cough* I got an advanced release!! Since Leonid wants to see how sales are to decide if Bev gets more pictures to chart, I thought I would start stitching it ASAP. I also got Kat one so she can stitch this week before the release and we would have "something" to show off and get people excited about it... I LOVE IT!! 

Also, with this chart, I'm trying the parking method I watched online..AND... I'M NOT GIVING  A FUCK ABOUT  THE BACK! *shivers* I'm scared....

I'm doing this one (it's the smallest).

So that is my start for the day...did that in about an hour and half, the sorting and stitching, and figuring out how to park... we'll see if this method goes faster!

3.13 - New Stitchings

Sarah here, I have been lazy in updating and for that matter taking pictures but I will make an update on what I have been doing stitch wise. First a picture of Rose of Sharon framed up. I didn't get a custom frame of matting, I will decide later when I finally have my own place if I want to do that...and after I have a chance to get Rose Arbour done as well.

Now for a picture of what I have started on, Fairy Tales by Mirabilia. I got a little excited since this is the first cross stitch I have done that has beading...so I might have started doing some of the beading already. It looks a lot different in person than it does on the picture that comes with the pattern.

Also, I have debating starting either Rose Arbour or Lady of the Mist. Both by Mirabilia. I think I am leaning more towards Lady of the Mist. If I start one of these I will try to be more on the ball about updating and tacking pictures. Either one I decide to stitch I will be doing on 32  Natural Linen. I really loved working on it with Rose of Sharon and miss it. I love the colour of the hand dyed fabric I'm using for Fairy Tales but it's just not the same feel.

3.12 Updating cos I've been slack ....

Death at the start of February

Death as it is now, folded and put away for a break.

Queen as of today, and about to go back in my frame after traveling to Dunedin for a night.

The heart that will be a cushion soon.  That red fabric at the bottom?  That's what the edge of the cushion will be.  And yes, pics will come of the cushion when it's done.

3.11 - Rose is......COMPLETE!

Yep you read it right, Rose of Sharon is complete as of February 16, 2014. I am so excited! Got a coupon in the mail for 50% off an item at the place I get my pictures framed so I ran down to the Framing Shop today and picked out a frame :D Will decide at a later date if I want to get any kind of special cut around matting or anything for her, but I pick the finished product up tomorrow!

Ok, here is a picture from two nights ago of the little part I had left to do.

 I just had a bit of the center arch to do and the flowers to the left.

And here she is complete! Nine months of work, I think it was worth it!

Off to start something new, will post again later!

3.10 - Essy is ANGRY! and sad... and mad... and annoyed... and irked... and peeved... and you get the point...

So here I am... starting my AAN Halloween SAL. I got my gorgeous hand dyed fabric from Colour Cascade Fabrics, happily choosing the right fabric for these colours.

The choice was clear! It's into the mystic! So as the pattern is released, I put it on my frame to stitch! (and look at the cute frame cover I got!! Look at the sparkliness!!

 This is when I found out, the 160 stitches wide they told us included EMPTY SPACES ON BOTH SIDES. so I'm FUCKING-OFF-CENTER!!! Now... I have to rip it all out and re-do it... because I HATE BEING OFF CENTER!!!  #%#^$#^%$&#%$^*&%^&*^&($^@#%@&%*^(@&$(^YE% (use your imagination, or insert preferential swear words).
